Breaking: Rory MacDonald Gets His Cryptocurrency Wish With New Lucrative Deal

Rory MacDonald made MMA News headlines when the former UFC title challenger made the transition to competing mixed martial arts promotion Bellator MMA. Since then, MacDonald has gone on to earn a dominant submission victory over Paul Daley in his Bellator debut and is now set to face off for the promotion’s welterweight title. With that in mind, the fighter recently made an unexpected offer concerning his pay.

As previously reported, MacDonald recently revealed that he believes being paid in the cryptocurrency known as Bitcoin is an attractive proposition for the fighter. Now it would appear that “Red King” may be getting his wish.

DASH

While MacDonald’s fight purse may not be settled in the famous cryptocurrency, the fighter just managed to lock in a sponsorship deal with competing cryptocurrency DASH. As reported by MMAnytt.com, MacDonald will receive 330 DASH, worth an estimated $357,819 at its current value, for gearing up in DASH branded outwear for his upcoming title fight.

Bellator

That said, Rory MacDonald will face off against reigning Bellator welterweight champion Douglas Lima at Bellator 192. The event goes down Jan. 20, 2018 inside The Forum in Inglewood, Calif.
