It would appear that UFC’s Chase Sherman and Colby Covington have entered a heated exchange over social media. Now Sherman has retaliated with a comeback that the internet may be remembering for quite some time.
Colby Covington has become a controversial topic as of late. The fighter first made headlines when he called Brazil a “dump” and the crowd at UFC Sao Paulo “filthy animals” after earning a decision victory over Demian Maia. Since then, Covington has been verbally butting heads with many of the fighters on the UFC’s roster.
Taking to Twitter, Covington recently decided to goad Chase Sherman for his recent knockout loss to Shamil Abdurakhimov at UFC Fight Night 122.
“Hey look everyone @ChaseShermanUFC woke up from getting knocked out again! @MattJackson13 @NickJacksonYB don’t super kick that nerd, he’s been knocked out enough already.”

Sherman was quick to respond by referencing Covington’s decision to press charges on former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum for assaulting him with a boomerang.
“I would tweet something back, but I don’t want you to call the cops.”

Covington offered a heated message in response.
“I’m #3 in the world nerd. 3, as in the number of times you’ve been KO’d. 3 as in L’s on ur 2-3 UFC record. After my next fight I’m gonna be wearing gold. After urs, ur gonna be waking up from another KO loss and applying for a job to bag @mattjackson13 @nickjacksonyb at @hottopic”

However, Sherman then responded with an especially statement that referenced Covington by a nickname that has now caught the attention of fight fans.
“This is coming from a guy that got pieced up by strictly a grappler. A guy that insulted an entire country. Someone that talks shits on his own teammates to earn some spotlight. A f**king snitch that calls the police. I fight 260 animals. Your b*tch made homie. #colbyc**tington”
