UFC superstar Conor McGregor took over the world of mixed martial arts when he became the first fighter in the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion to ever simultaneously hold multiple UFC titles. With a stunning knockout over Jose Aldo and stoppage over Eddie Alvarez, “Notorious” became a megastar of the sport. With that in mind, the popular UFC video game EA UFC 2 has simulated an interesting match up between the MMA phenom and longtime UFC commentating veteran Joe Rogan.
Joe Rogan has never stepped inside the octagon as a competitor. The veteran color commentator was once a champion taekwondo competitor as a teenager, with a short professional run as a kickboxer in his early twenties. However, Rogan never ascended to UFC status. Still, EA Sports UFC 2 has run an interesting simulation between the two, as Rogan and McGregor are both playable characters in the video game.
In their virtual match up, Joe Rogan goes toe-to-toe with “Notorious” and gives as well as he takes against the fighter. The fight ended up facing a stoppage, as Rogan beat McGregor into the canvas for a TKO victory.
