Former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum and Pride legend Wanderelei Silva may have never met inside the octagon. However, the two mixed martial arts veterans can be seen throwing down in a high intensity sparring match in the video above.
Fabricio Werdum is now on a winning streak. The fighter put on a dominant display over Walt Harris at UFC 216, earning a first round submission victory over his opponent. However, things would not be so easy for the fighter in Sydney, Australia at UFC Fight Night 121. Inside the Qudos Bank Arena, Werdum faced off against Marcin Tybura. The two fighters went toe-to-toe for five bloody rounds, with Werdum ultimately earning a unanimous decision victory.
Wanderlei Silva, on the other hand, no longer competes under the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) banner. Now a Bellator MMA fighter, Silva most recently suffered a loss to a fellow former UFC competitor. At Bellator 180, Silva faced off against Chael Sonnen. The two MMA warriors went at it round after round, but the fight ultimately went the distance. In the end, Sonnen walked away with a unanimous decision victory over the former Pride middleweight champion.
