Competitors on the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) roster often build up dedicated followings of fight fans during their tenures with the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion. With that in mind, three of the UFC’s tough fighters recently decided to take to social media and now they are getting some serious attention from their fight fans. Here is a look at viral Instagram posts from three tough UFC competitors.
Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones recently made headlines for failing another drug test. The fighter was dealt a year long suspension for failing a drug test back in 2016. Making his big octagon return, Jones went toe-to-toe with heated rival and reigning light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier at UFC 214 earlier this year. Jones earned a knockout victory over his opponent, but the win was short lived.
Jones failed his drug test for UFC 214, stripping the fighter of his title and turning the knockout win into a no contest. Months removed from the incident, Jones has decided to take to Instagram to share his thoughts on the passing of a former coach.
Over Instagram, Jon Jones had the following to say about his childhood coach’s recent passing:
“Rest In Peace Jack B. Stanbro Sr aka old man Stanbro. So incredibly grateful to have had you in my life, you were a true life changer. Thank you for taking me under your wing, I’ll love you forever.”

Another fighter that has been getting some attention over the internet as of late is UFC strawweight Paige VanZant. The fighter was set to make his flyweight debut against Jessica “Evil” Eye at UFC 216. However, “12 Gauge” was pulled from the event after suffering a herniated disc.
Now VanZant has locked in a new match up for her flyweight debut. This time, the fighter will be facing off against Jessica-Rose Clark at UFC Fight Night 124. The event goes down Jan. 14, 2018 in St. Louis, Missouri.
While VanZant is hard in training for her upcoming match up. The fighter still takes the time to check in with her fans. Taking to Instagram, VanZant has decided to send a message.
“Yeah I got issues, and one of them is how bad I need you.”

UFC strawweight Claudia Gadelha has put on a storied career in mixed martial arts. With a record of 15-3, the fighter has taken on some of toughest opponents that the strawweight division has to offer. Gadelha is now coming off of a unanimous decision loss to Jessica Andrade from UFC Fight Night 117. That being said, the loss does not appear to have Gadelha down. The fighter recently took to Instagram to share a picture of herself sunbathing for her fans.
“Welcome to the best month of the year. I love December.
