Former UFC light heavyweight champion Rampage Jackson and fellow former UFC competitor Chael Sonnen are now set to face off under the Bellator MMA banner. The mixed martial arts promotion is hosting a heavyweight tournament grand prix that is set to take place over 2018. The grand prix will ultimately decide the champion of the promotion’s heavyweight division.
In promotion for their upcoming match up, the two mixed martial arts veterans recently appeared on a radio spot to discuss the fight. During the radio appearance, “Rampage” decided to offer his upcoming opponent a proposition.
“I will give you $10,000 for every takedown you get on me.” Jackson stated.
Flustered by the offer, Sonnen explained that he no counter offer prepared and that he would have to discuss the $10,000 bet with his wife.
While Sonnen and Jackson shook on the agreement, Sonnen ultimately explained that it was paramount that he first speak to his wife. Still, “Rampage” appeared greatly serious about the offer should his opponent choose to accept.
