Three Notable UFC Veterans Booked For Bare Knuckle Boxing Event

It would appear that three veterans of the sport of mixed martial arts are going to be throwing down at an upcoming bare knuckle boxing fight card.

Bare Knuckle Boxing 9 will be taking place Jan. 1, 2018 inside the O2 Arena in London. The intriguing night of fights has locked in three UFC legends to the card. Chris Lytle, Phil Baroni and Melvin Guillard will all be stepping inside the cage for the interesting event.

“Lights Out” Lytle has put on a storied career in the realm of mixed martial arts. With a record of 31-18, the fighter has faced off against some of the toughest opponent’s in the sport. During his tenure in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Lytle faced off against opponents such as Matt Serra, Matt Hughes and Dan Hardy.

Phil Baroni has competed in a bevy of MMA promotions. Among them, the fighter has thrown down inside the octagon for the UFC. However, the fighter departed from the promotion after going an a lengthy losing streak. Baroni would go on to compete in ONE Championship, Strikeforce and Bellator MMA.

Melvin Guillard has earned a hefty professional record of 32-19 throughout his lengthy career in the sport. The fighter has not competed inside the octagon since 2014, but has gone on to compete in Bellator MMA and most recently at Australian Fighting Championship 20.

Bare Knuckle Boxing 9 is also set to feature Bellator heavyweight Josh Burns fight for the Bare Knuckle title in a match up against former Muay Thai champion Mick Terrill.
