Jeremy Balasse is a French Muay Thai fighter, and now the recipient of one of the most terrifying kickboxing injuries to date.
The fighter competed just last week, suffering a standing elbow from his opponent. The fight was suddenly halted by the referee, as Balasse forehead seemingly caved in on itself from the blow. Balasse was rushed to the hospital for his fractured skull and received a titanium plate in his head. With no brain damage, the fighter is now doing much better.
Taking to Instagram, Jeremy Balasse revealed the terrifying injury with a brief message.
“This is the video of the huge poke I received in combat, at the Patong Stadium in Phuket,” Balasse wrote on social media, “which caused me a fractured skull. Impressive wound and big scare! The following days were very difficult for me and especially my relatives, with a major operation to the head, So I wanted to thank all those who supported me again, it was incredible, and obviously very comforting.”
