Former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez has not competed inside the octagon since 2016. With that in mind, it would appear that the fighter has decided to make another public appearance.
Velasquez last competed inside the octagon at UFC 200. The fighter earned a first round TKO victory over Travis Browne, putting Velasquez as 14-2 in his stunning mixed martial arts career.
However, the former UFC heavyweight champion has been plagued with injuries as of late. As a result, Velasquez has been taking his time recovering from his injuries. While many fight fans are urgently waiting for the former title holder’s return, it would appear that Velasquez is willing to take a more methodical approach.
Taking to Instagram, Velasquez has now decided to post a photo of himself visiting the new UFC Performance Institute. In the post, the fighter stated “Don’t call it a comeback.”
