Phil Brooks, better known by his moniker “CM Punk” as a WWE superstar, decided to try his hand at mixed martial arts back in 2016. With things having not gone well, the former pro-wrestler has now been told by a celebrity that he sucks at the UFC. It would appear that Phil Brooks has effectively been “punked.”
For his big MMA debut, Brooks walked inside the octagon under the banner of the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion. However, things did not go the WWE superstar’s way. Opponent Mickey Gall made short work of CM Punk, earning a submission victory in the first round. Since then, the former pro-wrestler has been back in training with no word as to if the fighter will make another appearance in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). However, Brooks has been staying busy in other ways.
The WWE superstar recently appeared on MTV’s reality game show The Challenge. Paired with actor Johny “Bananas” Devenanzio, the two men suffered a tough loss in their selected challenge. However, Brooks was seemingly happy after the loss. The pro-wrestler turned fighter can be seen smiling and making jokes after the fact. Unhappy with Brooks’ reaction to the loss, Devenanzio confronted the fighter and decided to dredge up Brooks’ UFC loss.
