UFC megastar Conor McGregor has put on a storied career in the sport of mixed martial arts. Still, the largest payday of the UFC title holder’s life came from his professional boxing debut back in August of 2017. Now it would appear that McGregor is set to potentially double that payday with his new brand of whiskey.
“Notorious” made his debut inside the squared circle back on Aug. 26, 2017. For the fight, McGregor faced off against Floyd Mayweather Jr. Mayweather earned a TKO victory over McGregor, with the pugilist legend slipping back into retirement with a perfect 50-0 record. That being said, McGregor still earned a staggering $100 million for his first ever professional boxing match.
As part of the fighter’s professional boxing debut, Conor McGregor revealed that he now has a brand of whiskey called “Notorious.” The UFC champion made sure to front the whiskey time and time again during the post-fight press conference.
While McGregor has also landed a clothing line called August McGregor and sponsorship deals with Beats by Dre and Monster Energy, many celebrities have been looking to lend their brands to the alcohol market as of late. Most notably, musical artist P. Diddy has earned an estimated $100 million for his marketing deal with Ciroc.
The total sum of profits from McGregor’s new whisky brand has yet to be revealed, but the UFC superstar is likely to earn another massive total to his already staggering net worth with “Notorious.”
