Cormier And Volkan Involved In Heated Confrontation At UFC Fighter Hotel

Intensity continues to mount this week as the UFC 220 event draws near, and a run in today between Daniel Cormier and Volkan Oezdemir only drives that point home further.

Daniel Cormier will look to bounce back from his first stoppage loss ever, in this weekend’s UFC 220 co-main event. However, his slightly unknown opponent in Volkan Oezdemir is a knockout machine worthy of the test.

Both fighters crossed paths today in Boston, at the UFC host hotel, and it wasn’t all good, as words exchanged and Volkan’s team came out in force to support their fighter.

It isn’t a D.C. fight week without some tension, so this is par for the course.

Cormier took to his own social media to retell the events that transpired.

Check it out:

“Volkan tried to say I look bad , when I asked him bout his weight this dude told me he’s heavier than I am Then his little minions ran out of the cafeteria to try and defend him.

“I told em to stay in their place before they get what volkan has coming to him on Saturday.”

UFC 220 features a UFC heavyweight world title fight in the night’s main event, between champion Stipe Miocic, and challenger Francis Ngannou. This fight alone is worth the price of admission, but the UFC has also booked a co-main event title fight in the form of Daniel Cormier and Volkan Oezdemir.
