UFC President Dana White has provided a response to UFC heavyweight title challenger Francis Ngannou’s recent comment on President Donald Trump.
As reports claimed, last week President Donald Trump frustratingly derided protection of immigrants from “sh*thole countries,” including Haiti, El Salvador and African nations. Rising knockout artist Francis Ngannou was asked his opinion on the matter, calling President Trump “the shame of America.”
Dana White has been a known friend to Trump for many years, having provided a speech at the 2016 Republican National Convention on Trump’s behalf. Speaking to TSN, as seen in the video below, White has now provided his response to Ngannou’s recent statement.
“I’m not even a political guy. I don’t go near politics in any way, shape or form,” White said. “But obviously the relationship with Trump and I makes it different. And the beautiful thing about this country is anyone can have an opinion. And, yes, I would expect Francis’ opinion to be negative, and a lot of other people’s. Not everybody – it doesn’t matter who the president is – agrees with everything, including me.”

Francis Ngannou will be fighting reigning champion Stipe Miocic for the UFC heavyweight champion Saturday night, Jan. 20, at UFC 220.
