UFC president Dana White might be notoriously known for lowballing UFC fighters when it comes to the fighter salary department, even equally in the Reebok pay deals. However, if you wait on the man, and do a good job serving his food, he’s equally notorious for changing lives at the table.
The UFC president has been known to tip Las Vegas waiters as much as $50,000.00 in the past, often stirring up headlines in Las Vegas over his generosity.
It’s hard to imagine, if you’ve ever waited tables in your life, getting a massive tip from an infamous millionaire sport’s league president, but it happens. And with Dana White, it happens often.
Now, on the heels of a successful UFC trip to Boston for UFC 220, the UFC boss has done it again.
According to a report coming out of The Boston Globe, UFC president Dana White was eating at Empire Asian Restaurant and Lounge when he decided to give his waiter a 250% tip on his tab. Which totaled $4,000.00.
Here’s their report:
Dana White dined with a dozen friends at Empire Asian Restaurant & Lounge in the Seaport, and dropped a serious tip on the way out the door. We’re told White’s table left a $4,000 tip — roughly 250 percent of the bill — stunning the staff. Earlier in the evening, they’d been at the Celtics-76ers game at TD Garden. The next night, after UFC 220 at the Garden, White stopped by the new Seaport club The Grand, where he drank Ace of Spades champagne.
That’s more than a lot of fighters get for rocking Reebok, who’s pay scale starts out at $2500.00
