UFC welterweight Kamaru Usman made another octagon performance on Sunday night, Jan. 14, for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) most recent event. That being said, UFC President Dana White is seemingly not happy with the fighter’s post-fight speech.
Usman faced off against Emil Meek at UFC Fight Night 124, which took place inside the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri.
Usman earned a unanimous decision victory over Meek, after putting on a grueling three rounds of dominant wrestling over his opponent. In his post-fight speech, Usman claimed that he was only applying 30 percent of his ability in the match up.
Speaking with the UFC on FOX crew, Dana White has now decided to offer his opinion on the matter.
“I agree with you. I didn’t love that fight, by the way. I don’t think you jump up and start talking smack like you just knocked somebody out. Saying he only went 30 percent… what does that mean? What if you are on a pay-per-view? Going to use 60 percent?
“It’s one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard anyone say. And, you’re getting booed out of the arena on top of it. So I don’t know. We’ll see what’s next for him.”
