Paige VanZant made a valiant debut in the UFC’s new flyweight division on Sunday night, Jan. 14. While the fighter did not earn a victory, UFC President Dana White has decided to come forward with a reaction to “12 Gauge” going two rounds with a broken arm.
VanZant faced off against Jessica-Rose Clark for her flyweight debut in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 124 in St. Louis, Missouri. “12 Gauge” notified her corner during the fight that she had broken her arm within the early moments of the second round.
VanZant elected to keep fighting, with the match ultimately going the distance. Clark walked away with a unanimous decision victory over the fighter, but “12 Gauge” still earned the respect of hoards of fight fans for her performance.
Among them, Dana White has decided to offer his praise to the fighter. Taking to Twitter, White stated:
