Dana White: ‘We will find a new Conor McGregor, and move on without him’

Conor McGregor took over the world of mixed martial arts with his world shocking knockout over Jose Aldo and his brutal stoppage over Eddie Alvarez. After becoming the first and only fighter to ever simultaneously hold multiple UFC titles, “Notorious” decided to try his hand at boxing.

McGregor made his professional boxing debut in August of 2017, taking on undefeated boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. McGregor ultimately suffered a TKO loss to the pugilist legend, but still walked away with the payday of his career.

After earning a reported $100 million for his debut inside the squared circle, many fight fans are skeptical to if “Notorious” will ever return to the octagon. Speaking to Express.co.uk, UFC President Dana White recently decided to offer his opinion on the matter.

Speaking to the news source, White revealed that the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion will continue on without the UFC superstar if necessary.

“If Conor McGregor fights next year, that’ll be awesome. If Conor McGregor doesn’t fight, the UFC is going to go on. I’ve been hearing this since 2003. ‘What are you going to do when Chuck Liddell’s gone? What are you going to do when Georges St-Pierre leaves? You’re in big trouble when Anderson Silva’s gone! The list goes on and on. Ronda Rousey. Last year was the best in the company’s history. So we’re going to keep finding new talent and putting on the best fights in the world. That’s what we’re going to continue to do, with or without anybody.” – Dana White
