UFC strawweight Felice Herrig has been getting some attention over social media as of later for performing a good deed for one of her fight fans in need.
Herrig often takes to social media to stay in touch with her fans. “Lil Bulldog” even hosts special giveaways to keep her fans engaged on her Instagram account. When the fighter decided to hold a “#lbdstockingstufferchristmas” contest on her Instagram, Herrig found the perfect fan to win the candy cane stocking.
Instagram user monicazchapina was recently involved in an accident, as she was struck by a car while riding her bicycle. The woman suffered traumatic brain injuries from the incident. Hearing about her story, Herrig decided to make this inspiring fight fan the winner.
Taking to Instagram, Herrig said:
“I wasn’t going to post it because I was afraid their might be some negative comments. But this girl has been through so much. Her story is inspirational. She was hit by a car riding her bike and suffered traumatic brain injuries.
“I have followed her story ever since my coach @bigfrogbjj told me he met her doing a seminar at a @pedro_sauer_ affiliate gym. She has always been such a great fan and for this reason I chose her to win the candy cane stocking from my most recent #lbdstockingstufferchristmas contest.
