Conor McGregor is entering rare territory, and in potential danger of being stripped from his second UFC world title.
UFC president Dana White gave the UFC lightweight champion until March to defend his belt or lose it. It would mark the second world title Conor McGregor has been stripped of. An accolade only previously held by Jon Jones.
Conor McGregor entered the UFC as a two weight champion from the Cage Warriors promotion. He was often criticized for not defending either of those world titles either.
When he captured UFC lightweight gold with a knockout over Eddie Alvarez, the UFC made him drop one of his belts, for fear he would hold up both divisions.
Well, they weren’t wrong, because we’re getting closer and closer to two years without a title defense from Conor McGregor, and he’s been able to call himself a champion for some time now.
In this video, McGregor sold the world on the fact that he would be an active champion, before he ever captured his first UFC world title.
Conor stated, “I will keep busy. One thing about me, I keep fighting, I keep busy. I’ve had three back, to back, to back fights before he’s even had one. So I will be a busy champion, I will defend my belt many many times.”

Ironic, isn’t it?
