Kamaru Usman Puts on Dominant Performance Over Emil Meek

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is hosting a vicious night of fights on Sunday, Jan. 14. The world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion is inside the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri for UFC Fight Night 124.

The exciting event is currently deep into the night’s main card, as welterweights Kamaru Usman and Emil Meek are now facing off for division dominance in front of the St. Louis crowd. Check out the UFC results from the entertaining match up down below.

The fight quickly made its way to the ground, with Meek making a guillotine attempt against his opponent. However, Usman was able to avoid the submission and make his way back to his feet.

The two mixed martial arts warriors then entered a clinch war against the fence, as Usman struggled to take his opponent back down to the canvas.

Slamming him into the mat, Usman gained top position over Meek and began pummeling the fighter with ground and pound. Usman finished the opening round from the dominant position, landing some powerful strikes over Meek.

It was seemingly a tough round for Meek.

Meek kicked off the second round with a vengeance, punishing Usman with a series of head kicks and jabs. However, Usman was able to force the fighter against the fence and into another clinch war.

Usman then managed to slam his opponent into the canvas, before Meek swiftly shot back to his feet.

With half of the round in the books, Usman once again dragged Meek down to the mat and gained top position over the fighter. This time around, Usman began raining down some brutal ground and pound. But, Meek retaliated with sharp elbows from the bottom position.

The cuts opened on Meek’s face began to noticeably bleed from the series of strikes, but the fighter continued to fight back from the mat. It was seemingly a dominant round for Usman.

The final round quickly came to a halt, as Usman was struck by an accidental low blow. After being permitted time to recuperate from the blow, Usman opted to continue the fight and things went back underway.

Usman managed to get Meek back down to the mat, but Meek sprang back to his feet and dished out some brutal strikes before being dragged back to the mat.

Blood began to streak down Meek’s face, as the fighter suffered considerable damage from the brutal match up. Meek landed a few tough elbows from the bottom position, but continued to take a pummeling from his opponent on the mat.

This fight has gone the distance.
