Vasyl Lomachenko
As a UFC superstar, Conor McGregor has developed a target on his back. Hoards of fight fans are fervently aching to see the UFC lightweight champion throw down inside the octagon, with plenty of fighters looking to take on the champion as a result. Now it would appear that McGregor has attracted another potential opponent from outside the sport of MMA.
Overall boxing phenom and Olympic gold medalist Vasyl Lomachenko is now considering a switch to the sport of mixed martial arts. Taking to social media, the boxer decided to call out “Notorious” with his reveal of the news.
Here is what Lomachenko had to say over Twitter:
“I used to win many wrestling, judo, and sambo tournaments as a kid. Should I try fighting in the @ufc? What do you think @TheNotoriousMMA?”
Of course, McGregor made his professional boxing debut back in the summer of 2017. “Notorious” faced off against undefeated pugilist legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. Mayweather earned a TKO victory over the UFC megastar in the tenth round. Still, McGregor walked away with the payday of his career. The fighter earned an estimated $100 million for his first fight inside the squared circle.
