Nearly 10% Of The UFC’s Entire Fighter Roster Flagged By USADA

USADA

The UFC implemented year round drug testing in 2015 to combat the plague of performance enhancing drug failures that was steadily on the rise. And with a roster of anywhere between 350-500 fighters at any given time, USADA has busted an amount equal to about 10% of the UFC’s roster.

USADA has flagged both UFC newcomer and seasoned veteran without discrimination.

Most notably, Anderson Silva, Lyoto Machida, Brock Lesnar, Mirko Crop Cop, and Yoel Romero, represent some of the sport’s biggest names in history.

So we thought we’d examine USADA’s database of sanctioned and flagged UFC fighters. However, it does not seem to be as up to date as we had hoped, excluding the likes of Cris Cyborg and Anderson Silva, but it does show the more recently flagged UFC female Jessica Penne.

It’s hard to put an exact tally on the amount of fighters USADA has flagged due to these glaring errors in their database. But presently they’re showing 37 fighters, and we know, based of the exclusions we just mentioned, it’s more than that.
