Last week top Bellator welterweight fighter Paul Daley went on the attack on his official facebook page, obviously unhappy with his place on the Bellator roster.
Now, according to the fighter’s latest update, he’s been released by the promotion.
Daley’s historic career has been eclipsed by his lifetime ban from the UFC.
He was working his way through the UFC’s rankings in devastating fashion, until he was outwrestled by a prime Josh Koscheck.
The knockout artist would proceed to walk over to Koscheck’s corner after the bout, and punch him right in the face.
This infuriated UFC president Dana White, and despite being one of the top welterweights in the world, even to this day, Dana handed down his first ever lifetime ban from the UFC.
In Paul’s initial post to Bellator last week, he stated, “Scott Coker talking about Page at the Bellator presser, Bellator are Sooooooo on ass it’s sickening. He hasn’t fought MMA in how long, his last performance in boxing and MMA were terrible.
“I beat Lorenz Larkin former UFC guy, top 6 when he left the organisation…by KO and they sweep it under the rug? and then sideline me….
“I’m gonna Fight out my contract…..THAT MVP Fight WONT BE HAPPENING…under the Bellator banner anyways….So F*CK Bellator, 18 more month in this game and two more fights for Bellator and I’m done.”

Now in a new statement, Daley confirms he’s been released by the promotion.

“I have politely asked for my RELEASE from BELLATOR MMA, which they have agreed to.
“Once I have the paperwork through, stating that I am free to fight elsewhere, I will be looking to fight out my last 18months in this sport with the organisation that can put together the most exciting fights for my loyal fans.
FOAMS”.
