Former UFC welterweight champion Matt Serra has put on a storied career in the sport of mixed martial arts. With an MMA career that spans over a decade, the former title holder has faced off against some of the most talented and toughest fighters in the sport.
With that in mind, Serra is also a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Renzo Gracie. Once upon a time, Serra entered a North American Grappling Association (NAGA) tournament. A man allegedly began talking trash to the MMA veteran, criticizing Renzo Gracie and the entire sport of BJJ.
Serra quickly challenged the man to a MMA match, but the two ended up hitting the mat for a grappling competition. Police quickly showed up to the scene to halt the competition from continuing before things got out of hand.
