The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) was in Boston, Massachusetts on Friday, Jan. 19, for the UFC 25th Anniversary Series Press Conference. During the conference, the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion gave media members a chance to ask the headliners for UFC 222 and UFC 223 a round of questions.
That being said, the conference also offered the two pairs of headliners a chance to verbally throw down before their big match ups.
The main event for UFC 222 is set to see UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway go toe-to-toe with former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar. The two mixed martial arts warriors were present for the recent press conference and entered the occasional verbal confrontation during the presser.
UFC 223 has locked in a lightweight title fight between Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov, in which both fighters offered fight fans some heated trash-talk during Friday’s press conference.
