Rory MacDonald May Have Won, But He Was Hospitalized After War With Lima

It would appear that newly crowned Bellator welterweight champion Rory MacDonald was transported to the hospital following his title earning match up Saturday night.

Bellator MMA was in Inglewood, Calif. on Saturday night, Jan. 20, for Bellator 192. The highly anticipated event hosted a night full of entertaining match ups. Among them, former UFC title challenger Rory MacDonald went toe-to-toe with Bellator welterweight champion Douglas Lima.

Lima and “Red King” ultimately went the distance in their intense mixed martial arts war, with MacDonald earning a title winning unanimous decision victory over his opponent. As reported by MMA Fighting, Rory MacDonald has now been transported to the hospital following the match up.

Former UFC welterweight contender Rory MacDonald signed with Bellator MMA, but has only fought once.

During the fight, MacDonald suffered some brutal leg kicks from his opponent. By the end of the fight, MacDonald’s leg began to swell with a shockingly large contusion on the shin.
