Cat Zingano
Former UFC title challenger “Alpha” Cat Zingano hasn’t seen the inside of a cage since her loss to Julianna Pena at UFC 200 in July of 2016. Prior to that, it was a February 2015 loss to former UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey.
In three years, she’s only fought twice. However, with a new move to Alliance MMA, in California, the top UFC bantamweight is excited about what’s next.
Having made a name for herself as a top UFC bantamweight, Zingano is one of few women to hold a dominant win over current champion Amanda Nunes.
In a new post to her Instagram, she’s revealed a new photo, that shows her in peak physical shape with a caption that reads “159 and strong.” For the mathematically challenged, that’s 24 pounds over the UFC’s bantamweight division weight.
Zingano is basically a lightweight, and with her previous mentions of wanting to take a fight with Cris Cyborg, she may be putting on size for a reason.
Only time will tell.
Here’s Cat’s latest social media post:
Damn it feels good to be a gangster. 159 and strong AF. #alphacatzingano #teamalphacat #acz #catzingano #fightlife #thicklife
Cat Zingano is set to return to action against Ketlen Vieira March 3 at UFC 222.
