Rising knockout artist Francis Ngannou made a trip to the UFC Performance Institute back in 2017 to test his strength. Using state of the art equipment, Ngannou’s punching power was measured with intense accuracy. In the end, it was ruled that the UFC heavyweight has the hardest punch ever recorded.
Since then, multiple fighters have been making visits to the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s training center to test their power. Among them, Justin Buchholz has come forward to see if he can kick as hard as Ngannou punches.
Buchholz is a mixed martial artist in his own right, but also a coach at the highly acclaimed Sacramento gym Team Alpha Male. Testing his power at the UFC Performance Institute, the coach was unable to match Ngannou’s terrifying power, even when using his kicks.
Taking to Instagram, Buchholz stated:
“If the next champ @francisngannou hits as hard as a 15 pound sledgehammer (129000) then I kick as hard as a 12 pound sledge (101519) sorry @andrew_coyne good times at the @ufcpi with @forrestgriffin ?@tusqy10 #ufc #ufcPI #ufcboston #andnew #hammer #worldrecord #havefunhavefun #mtfreestyle #muaythai #muaythaifighter #muaythaikillanything #iwinbro #forrestgriffinforpresident #rightkickcemetary”
