Some fight fans have come to criticize UFC superstar Conor McGregor’s ground game, especially after the fighter was choked out by grappling phenom Nate Diaz. With that in mind, 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu’s Eddie Bravo has come forward with a statement concerning the fighter’s abilities on the canvas.
As reported by The Mac Life, Eddie Bravo recently had a training session with “Notorious.” The Mac Life quoted Bravo as stating:
“People are talking a lot of sh*t on Conor’s Jiu-Jitsu. I know Conor’s Jiu-Jitsu is good,”(…)“He’s come to my school. That guy is good. Just because he was mounted and choked out… He was already hurt! (…) “But even if he wasn’t hurt, I get mounted by my purple belts sometimes and get my back taken.”
Conor McGregor most recently made his boxing debut in 2017, having taken on undefeated pugilist legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. “Notorious” suffered a TKO loss to the undefeated boxer, but still walked away with the payday of his career.
McGregor earned an estimated $100 million for his debut inside the squared circle.
