The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is home to some of the world’s most talented and toughest fighters. As the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion, this perhaps comes as no surprise.
With that in mind, it would appear that the UFC has locked in a massive number of new fighters to its roster over the past six months.
While fighters from Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, Rory MacDonald to Rory Nelson have all opted to compete under the competing Bellator MMA banner over the years. It would appear that the UFC roster has still been growing at a rapid pace.
Within the last six months, the UFC has added 117 fighters to the roster. All in all, there are now 657 fighters competing under the UFC banner.
One of the newest competitors to be locked in by the promotion is BJJ phenom Mackenzie Dern. The former No. 1 ranked IBJJF black belt will make her octagon debut at UFC 222.
The fighter will be taking on Ashley Yoder on March 3 inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. UFC 222 will air live on pay-per-view.
