The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) has locked down a pair of high-profile match ups for one of the promotion’s upcoming cards.
UFC on FOX 29 goes down April 14 inside the Gila River Arena in Glendale, Ariz. Now the exciting night of fights has managed to pull two enticing bouts onto the night’s fight card.
UFC officials have revealed that lightweights Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje will now be throwing down for division dominance at the event. Poirier is riding a submission victory over Anthony Pettis, while Gaethje is coming off of a tough knockout loss to former UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez.
UFC officials have also announced that UFC veterans Matt Brown and Carlos Condit are set to go toe-to-toe at UFC on FOX 29. Welterweight warrior Matt Brown is recently pulled himself out of a three fight losing streak with a devastating knockout finish over fellow UFC veteran Diego Sanchez.
Carlos Condit made his big octagon return in a match up against Neil Magny, ultimately facing a decision loss to the fighter. Now Condit will be looking to get back inside the winning column as he faces off against Matt Brown.
