UFC fighters have decided to offer their reactions to Sunday’s touching return of MMA legend Matt Hughes.
UFC Hall of Famer and mixed martial arts legend Matt Hughes suffered a tragic accident on Jan. 16, 2017. The former fighter was driving his truck in his hometown of Hillsboro, Illinois, when the vehicle was struck by a moving train.
Hughes was airlifted to a local hospital, where the fighter entered a coma. Hughes has since made a miraculous recovery from the incident, having come to consciousness and been released from the hospital.
At UFC Fight Night 124, the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion offered a short video in honor of the MMA legend. Shortly after, Hughes walked out to his cage side seat for the night’s event.
The touching moment has since drawn many fighters and fans alike to tears. Check out what many fighters had to say about the moment in the Twitter posts below:
He did it backwards, he went through the fight of his life, survived, then made the walk. Respect
