UFC light-heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier has one of the sport’s biggest rivalries in history with former champion Jon “Bones” Jones.
And with just two defeats on his entire professional fighting record, the most recent of which was his first ever stoppage loss, both coming from Jon Jones, the last person D.C. wants to hear from ahead of his return to action is Jones.
That however, didn’t stop the UFC from pulling a stunt on the defending champion, who while making the media rounds got confronted by a UFC official, stating they had a message from Jon Jones.
Alas though, it wasn’t the “Bones” version of Jones that the UFC handed off a message from. Instead, it was the former UFC champion’s twitter doppelganger, the real @JonJones.
It’s a funny prank, one that Cormier wasn’t too thrilled with… But what good is a prank if the person loves it, right?

UFC 220 features a UFC heavyweight world title fight in the night’s main event, between champion Stipe Miocic, and challenger Francis Ngannou. This fight alone is worth the price of admission, but the UFC has also booked a co-main event title fight in the form of Daniel Cormier and Volkan Oezdemir.
