Paige VanZant made her debut in the UFC’s new female flyweight division on Sunday night, Jan. 14. However, things did not go the fighter’s way. Now a video of the moment VanZant broke her arm during the recent fight has surfaced to the internet.
“12 Gauge” co-headlined UFC Fight Night 124 inside the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Missouri on Sunday night. The fighter met Jessica-Rose Clark inside the octagon for her flyweight debut, as the two fighters put on an octagon war.
VanZant revealed to her corner during the fight that she broke her arm in the second round. Rather than call off the match, “12 Gauge” opted to keep competing.
The fight ultimately went the distance, with Clark earning a unanimous decision victory over her opponent. Now VanZant has taken to social media to point out the precise moment her arm broke.
