UFC President Dana White claims many fight fans are waiting to see Khabib Nurmagomedov “maul” UFC superstar Conor McGregor.
UFC lightweight contender Khabib Nurmagomedov made his big return to the octagon at UFC 219. The fighter was initially set to fight for the interim title at UFC 209, but was hospitalize prior to the event following weight management issues.
Fully recovered, Nurmagomedov went toe-to-toe with Edson Barboza at UFC 219 and earned a dominant unanimous decision victory over the fighter. Now many fight fans are fervently waiting for “The Eagle” to get a shot at Conor McGregor.
As heard in the video below, UFC President Dana White recently offered his thoughts on a match up between Nurmagomedov and “Notorious.”
“People right now would love to see Conor McGregor vs. Khabib The Russian. And that would be a massive fight. I could do that fight in the United States and it’s big. If I did that fight in Russia, there isn’t a stadium big enough in country for that fight.”
“Everybody has been waiting to see a fight with him and Conor. People believe that this guy will maul Conor McGregor. But, that is what people always believe about Conor.”
