Mixed martial arts journalist Ariel Helwani is a former UFC on FOX correspondent. The reporter was fired from his position, had his credentials revoked and was momentarily banned from future UFC events after reporting on the return of Brock Lesnar at UFC 200 just hours before the UFC made an official announcement.
Helwani has since had his credentials reinstated and the life ban from UFC events lifted. That being said, things are not all great between the MMA journalist and the UFC.
The official UFC on FOX Twitter account recently featured a quote from UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway. While, UFC on FOX attributed the statement to the champion. The quote was not attribute to the interview in which the statement took place.
Here is the original social media post from UFC on FOX:
So…how much longer does Max @BlessedMMA Holloway have at 145 pounds? pic.twitter.com/ChlJJ3SXu6

Holloway made the statement while appearing on Ariel Helwani’s The MMA Hour. Speaking on the matter, Helwani later took to Twitter to state:
“Gotta say, one thing the UFC on FOX twitter does really well is take quotes from other outlets without crediting them.”
