Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones and UFC President Dana White have not been on the best of terms as of late. Jones was once again stripped of his title after failing another drug in 2017.
The mixed martial arts phenom earned a knockout victory over rival Daniel Cormier at UFC 214, before being flagged for a drug test that overturned the victory into a no contest. Dana White and Jon Jones have entered a somewhat heated relationship, sparked by the latest drug test failure.
Now following seven months of silence between the two men, White has decided to come forward to reveal that he and Jones have had another conversation.
Speaking to TMZ Sports, Dana White stated:
“Jon and I talked yesterday for the first time since his fight [at UFC 214]. He sounds good and he says he’s looking at positive things right now and just focusing on training.”
“He wants to come back absolutely. I don’t know [about 2018]. That’s up to USADA, I’ve got nothing to do with that.”
“Obviously, that would be great,”
