Dana White Refuses Chuck Liddell’s Request To Return For Tito Ortiz Fight

In the recent months, UFC hall-of-fame legend Chuck Liddell has been pretty vocal about a potential return to MMA action.

And through various sources of media, including his recent stint on Big Brother, and in his Youtube Red series with Steve-O, “The Iceman” has called upon either Tito Ortiz or Chael Sonnen to welcome him back to the cage.

Once it was revealed that these statements were more than just passing thoughts, Tito Ortiz started injecting himself into the discussions, stating he would come out of retirement for a chance at redemption against his former teammate.

With the ball in the UFC’s court, as Chuck Liddell remains in a frozen contract with the promotion, UFC president Dana White has killed any and all talks of a Chuck Liddell return to fighting.

The UFC boss recently stated, “No. Chuck’s almost 50 years old. I love Chuck Liddell, but 50-year-olds shouldn’t be fighting.”

“I couldn’t do that fight. I love the guy. I love Chuck Liddell, I love him. As a friend, I don’t think he should fight. And anybody around him who cares about him shouldn’t let him fight either.”
