When mixed martial artists meet inside the cage, the two fighters often touch gloves before kicking off the fight as a show of respect to one another. With that in mind, the showing of sportsmanship did not go quite as expected in this match up.
WBK 22 went down in Hangzhou, China and featured an MMA battle between Ibragim Khalilov and Bakhtiyar Barotov. Khalilov earned a swift knockout victory over his opponent, but has since come under some controversy for his tactics in the fight.
The two fighters met in the center of the cage, with Barotov extending a fist to touch gloves. Khalilov quickly turned the moment to his advantage and knocked out his opponent.
