Former UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz has come forward to discuss his battle with depression.
Dominick Cruz has put on a lengthy career in the sport of mixed martial arts. The 32-year-old has earned a record of 22-2 as a professional fighter, having only suffered losses to Team Alpha Male superstars Cody Garbrandt and Urijah Faber.
Still, Cruz recently revealed that he once suffered from depression. Speaking with longtime UFC commentating veteran Joe Rogan on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Cruz went into detail about his upbringing and his rise to success within the UFC.
Having grown up in poverty within Arizona, Cruz quickly made his way to the octagon at a young age. From there, the former UFC bantamweight champion began seeing a level of financial success that Cruz had not imagined possible.
