Fight fans are cheering inside the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas tonight, as the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is hosting another exciting night of fights. This time around, the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion is offering fight fans UFC Fight Night 126.
The entertaining fight card is going down tonight, Feb. 18, and features a series of exhilarating octagon performances. Lightweights Francisco Trinaldo and James Vick are now walking into the octagon to throw down for the Austin crowd. The UFC results from the brutal match up can be seen below.
The fight kicked off at a brisk pace, as Trinaldo and Vick each patiently waited for the proper moment to launch their offensives. Vick then rushed Trinaldo into the fence with a flurry of punches.
Vick dropped Trinaldo with a strong blow, but the fighter lurched back to his feet and took Vick to the ground.From their, Trinaldo locked in a guillotine choke, but failed to get the finish.
Vick then reversed the position and made his way back to his feet. The two mixed martial arts warriors stood their ground and entered a brutal exchange until the sound of the bell.
Vick landed a brutal knee on Trinaldo early in the second round, pressuring the fighter into the fence. However, Trinaldo was able to escape the position and return to the center of the octagon.
With two minutes left in the round, Vick continued to walk down his opponent and apply pressure with his punches and head kicks. With that in mind, Trinaldo did not appear interested in backing down.
The fighter continued to return fire with stiff counters, with the two competitors trading until the end of the round.
Trinaldo opened the final round with a vengeance. The fighter began pouring on the pressure, peppering Vick with punch combinations.
With two minutes left in the round, the two competitors continued to trade in the center of the octagon. Trinaldo continued to walk down his opponent, but Vick appeared to be getting the better of his opponent in many of the exchanges.
With less than a minute left, Vick and Trinaldo began pushing the pace and brawling for the Austin crowd. Still, neither fighter was able to get a finish. This one has gone the distance.
