Marlon Sandro is a mixed martial arts veteran. The fighter has competed for the likes of Bellator MMA and Road FC among many other promotions during his lengthy career. However, Sandro is now facing multiple serious charges within relation to a domestic violence case.
The former Sengoku featherweight champion is facing multiple charges within relationship to two separate incidents involving Sandro’s fiance. The incidents occurred on December 14 and February 9.
As reported by MMA Fighting, Sandro has been accused of assaulting his fiance, Tayssa Wuensche, in the middle of the street in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on Dec. 14. The fighter allegedly choked the woman, before kicking and punching her as she came back into consciousness.
In a second case, Tayssa Wuensche claimed that on Feb. 9 a threat was made on her life by Marlon Sandro. Sandro allegedly broke into Wuensche’s home while intoxicated and threatened her with a knife.
The fighter then allegedly choked Wuensche with a pillow whenever she began to cry. Wuensche was later saved by her mother and brother, after managing to send out a text for help.
For the December incident, Sandro is facing charges of attempted murder. The fighter could see up to 20 years in jail if found guilty.
