Former UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones is back at it again. A video of the mixed martial arts phenom hitting the weights is now making its way around the internet.
Jon Jones has had quite the journey through his mixed martial arts career. The fighter only has one loss on his record, being a disqualification for illegal elbow strikes to Matt Hamill.
A dominant fighter, Jones quickly made his way into the conversation as potentially one of the greatest fighters of all time. However, Jones’ career quickly became shrouded in controversy.
The fighter has been stripped of a UFC title on three separate occasions. The fighter was involved in a hit-and-run incident in 2015, leading to the first stripping of his light heavyweight title.
In 2016, Jones failed another drug test. This time, the fighter was pulled out of his highly anticipated rematch against Daniel Cormier at UFC 200 and was stripped of his interim title.
Returning from his one year suspension for the failed drug test, Jones faced off against Cormier at UFC 214 in 2017. Jones earned a knockout victory over Cormier and became the UFC light heavyweight champion once again.
It was later revealed that Jones failed his drug test for the event. The fighter was stripped of his title once again and the victory was overturned into a no contest.
With that in mind, it would appear that Jon Jones has no intention of halting his training while waiting for news of the ramifications of his latest drug test failure. Rather, the former title holder has been hitting the weights.
