Matt Mitrione has put on a storied career through the years. A former UFC fighter, Mitrione competed on the hit reality television series The Ultimate Fighter. After suffering a series of losses, the mixed martial artist would go on to compete under the Bellator MMA banner. Now a photo from the fighter’s high school yearbook is making its way around the internet.
Matt Mitrione is riding a first round TKO victory over mixed martial arts legend Fedor Emelianenko from Bellator 180. With that in mind, the fighter is now set to face off against former opponent Roy Nelson in the new Bellator MMA heavyweight tournament grand prix.
The two MMA warriors will battle it out at Bellator 194, as part of the tournament set to decide the next champion of the heavyweight division. The event will take place Feb. 16 inside the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut.
