UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway has decided to fire back at UFC superstar Conor McGregor over social media. This time, the title holder may have just won the new war of words.
Conor McGregor and Max Holloway faced off inside the octagon back in 2013 at UFC Fight Night 26. The two entered an octagon war that ultimately went the distance, with “Notorious” earning a unanimous decision victory over his opponent. Holloway has not suffered a defeat in his mixed martial arts career since.
Taking to social media, Conor McGregor recently decided to prod Holloway over the big loss. Holloway was forced to pull out of his upcoming title defense against Frankie Edgar due to an undisclosed injury. Hearing the news, McGregor offered the following message.
“When there is no referee to save you.”
Max Holloway has now taken to social media to remind McGregor of his TKO loss to undefeated boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. in his professional boxing debut.
