UFC superstar Nate Diaz has managed a major victory inside the courtroom.
Diaz’s former agents, the Ballengee Group, sued the fighter back in June. The agency demanded over $1 million due to Diaz allegedly breaching his contract with the agency over multiple claims.
The center of the agency’s argument is around UFC 202, in which Diaz is being accused of firing the agency after the fight was booked without ever providing them a percentage of his income. As reported by TMZ Sports, the lawsuit was filed in Dallas County (Texas) District Court.
The judge dismissed the case on Friday, claiming the the case did not belong in Texas. Judge Jane J. Boyle stated that Ballengee “failed to demonstrate that this court should exercise personal jurisdiction over Defendants.”
Nate Diaz has not competed inside the octagon since his two fight octagon war with heated rival Conor McGregor back in 2016. However, the fighter has since come forward to hint at a possible octagon return.
