The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is visiting Orlando, Fla. on Saturday night, Feb. 24, for UFC on FOX 28. The world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion is hosting the exciting night of fights within the Amway Center, offering fight fans a series of entertaining match ups.
Continuing the night of fights, former UFC bantamweight champion Renan Barao and Brian Kelleher are now facing off inside the octagon for the Orlando crowd. The UFC results from the match up can be seen below.
The first round opened with a fury. Kelleher poured the pressure on the former champion. However, Barao was able to consistently retaliate with well timed counters of his own.
Kelleher rocked Barao late in the round, but failed to finish the former title holder before the sound of the bell. This round was a war that stayed on the feet.
The second round suffered a few separations, as the two mixed martial arts warriors found themselves struggling against the cage. Kelleher continued to walk down his opponent for much of the round, but suffered some damage of his own in the striking exchanges. This will be a tough round for the judges.
The final round was a bloody war. Kelleher and Barao both appeared gassed from their brawl, but neither fighter was willing to back down. For five minutes, the two mixed martial arts warriors entered a brutal exchange that has earned this match a spot in the fight of the night candidacy.
