The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) was in Austin, Texas over the weekend to host the promotion’s latest fight card. This time around, the world’s most famous mixed martial arts promotion offered the highly anticipated fight card of UFC Fight Night 126 within the Frank Erwin Center.
Donald Cerrone and Yancy Medeiros headlined the night’s event, with Derrick Lewis and Marcin Tybura offering the night’s co-main event. That being said, neither bout managed to draw the most views for the night’s fight card.
As reported by MMA Fighting, the fight card averaged a total 893,000 viewers overall. The night’s peak occurred during the first fight on the main card, which featured Team Alpha Male warrior Sage Northcutt earning a decision victory over Thibault Gouti.
Viewer numbers peaked at 1,078,000 during the fight, making Sage Northcutt the largest draw on the night’s card. Northcutt remains undefeated as a lightweight, with a total professional record of 10-2. At only 21-years-old, the mixed martial arts warrior has already become the largest draw on a featured fight night.
Sage Northcutt’s event high ratings also managed to beat out Friday night’s Bellator event, as Bellator 194 only managed to draw 555,000 viewers with a heavyweight rematch between Matt Mitrione and Roy Nelson.
