10-1 in her career as a Mixed Martial Artist, UFC strawweight female Tecia Torres is about as top a fighter as the UFC has in the 115 pound category.
Torres has only lost to one fighter in her career, Rose Namajunas, but also holds a win over the current champion as well.
Torres was last seen taking out the highly respected Michelle “Katate Hottie” Waterson in last December’s UFC 218 event. In the fight she thoroughly dominated the former Invicta FC champion, improving on her winning record and making it three straight, since her loss to “Thug” Rose.
This weekend, as part of the free on T.V. UFC Orlando fight card, Torres takes on the very game and dangerous Jessica Andrade. The winner of this fight is expected to face off with the winner of UFC 223’s rematch between Namajunas and Joanna [Former Champion].
Torres, seems to be coping with the title implications of this weekend’s fight well though, and doesn’t appear to be letting the pressure of the moment get to her.
Instead of being tense, intense, and stressed about her pending bout, she is happy and upbeat, even bringing her little cute dog named Canelo along with her for media day.
