Two Fights In, Here’s The Updated Bellator Tournament Brackets

Mixed martial arts promotion Bellator MMA is currently two fights deep into their heavyweight tournament grand prix. The grand prix is destined to crown the next heavyweight champion of the promotion, with fights for the tournament being scheduled among several upcoming Bellator MMA events.

First to throw down for the tournament, former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson faced off against fellow former UFC competitor Chael Sonnen. Sonnen ultimately earned a unanimous decision victory over his opponent, granting the fighter the next step in the grand prix.

Former UFC fighters Roy Nelson and Matt Mitrione are the most recent heavyweights to face off for the tournament. Mitrione managed to avenge his former loss to “Big Country” with a majority decision victory.

Now it’s time to take an updated look at the exciting heavyweight grand prix, following the recent two victories. Fedor Emelianenko is still set to face off against former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir.

The victor of the two will throw down with Chael Sonnen. Reigning Bellator light heavyweight champion Ryan Bader is set to take on Muhammed Lawal. The victor between the two mixed martial arts warriors will take on Matt Mitrione.
